The hotel building, built in Gothic style in the 14th century, used to be one of the largest buildings in the town. According to historical sources a prominent family of famous stonecutters from Krumlov used to live in this building in the 16th century. Despite the restoration and modernisation of the interior, the hotel has kept its historic ambience intact.
